On the occasion of World Science Day, the OACPS R&I Programme is launching a Research and Innovation Illustration Contest

How do you view research and innovation in your country? Bring out your paintbrushes, coloured pencils, cameras, computers. Express your talent and win exclusive prizes!

In a time of rapid technological change and emerging crises, Research and Innovation (R&I) are increasingly mobilised to find solutions to interconnected and complex global challenges, boost growth, accelerate the green transition, reduce poverty and shift the world onto a sustainable and resilient path.

Through this illustration contest, the OACPS R&I Programme aims to highlight digital visual representations of research and innovation made by the general public, in order to showcase a wide range of perspectives from African, Caribbean and Pacific countries and to raise awareness of R&I as vital drivers of sustainable development.

Amateurs or professionals, you are invited to illustrate in a graphic or pictorial manner (original photo, modified photo, drawing, painting, or artwork created on a computer) six key thematic areas:

DIGITAL SOLUTIONS TO EMERGENT PROBLEMS INDIGENOUS SOLUTIONS TO EMERGENT PROBLEMS GRASSROOTS INNOVATIONS WOMEN AND GIRLS IN STEM YOUTH IN INNOVATION COLLABORATION BETWEEN R&I PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS

The competition will award three exclusive prizes of € 1,500 worth each!

The deadline for receipt of illustrations is Tuesday, 10 December 2022!
