psf@oacps-ri.euThe objective of this Mutual Learning Exercise (MLE), organised jointly with the UN Interagency Task Team Workstream 6 (UN IATT WS6), is to exchange knowledge and experience between various countries on how to successfully develop and implement R&I policies and strategies, as well as to enhance the capacities of policymakers in this respect.
This MLE gathers representatives from over a dozen countries that have been assisted in reforming and enhancing their national R&I ecosystems by either the OACPS R&I Policy Support Facility or by UN agencies on Capacity Building in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) for SDGs.
Carried out by high-level international experts, the MLE service will contribute to, among others:
- identifying good practices, lessons learned and success factors based on robust evidence;
- exploring the best ways to respond to current and future challenges;
- address specific issues (monitoring, funding and incentives , etc.).
The initial activity of this Mutual Learning Exercise was organised in Ethiopia (14-17 February 2023), in partnership with the UN IATT WS6.
