The RERIPA Project (Original title in French: Renforcement des écosystèmes de Recherche et d’Innovation face aux enjeux climatiques dans le Pacifique) represents a bold and collaborative initiative aimed at empowering Pacific nations to confront the pressing challenges posed by climate change. As part of the OACPS Research and Innovation Programme, RERIPA seeks to enhance the resilience and adaptive capacity of Pacific communities by fostering robust ecosystems for research, innovation, and knowledge-sharing.

Through a synergy of local expertise, regional cooperation, and cutting-edge technology, RERIPA prioritizes sustainable solutions tailored to the unique environmental and socio-economic contexts of the Pacific. The project emphasizes inclusivity, engaging key stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, and local communities, to co-create and implement strategies that drive tangible, impactful change.

By addressing climate change with a focus on innovation and capacity building, RERIPA is setting the stage for a sustainable and prosperous future in one of the world’s most vulnerable regions. This initiative underscores the vital role of science and innovation in building climate-resilient societies, ensuring that no community is left behind in the global effort to combat environmental challenges.
