The objective of the PSF (Policy Support Facility) service is to assist the Government of Timor Leste, through the Instituto Nacional de Ciências e Tecnologia (INCT), in enhancing its national research and innovation system, through two feasibility studies: one on the creation of a national digital repository and the other one on the setting up of a specific Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) programme.

The national digital repository aims to provide reliable and sustained open access to the results of research conducted by national and international researchers, acting as scientific references and input for the formulation of government policies.

The service will also provide a basis for the setting up of a specific Science, Technology and Innovation programme, which aims to strengthen the cooperation between research, public sector, industry, HEIs, and civil society/grassroots organisations (working on reducing the gender gap in STEM and the inclusion of indigenous knowledge and youth).

The PSF service will be carried out by an international panel of experts who will actively collaborate with the national team of Timor Leste and the PSF team (OACPS R&I Programme).
