This event was the first step in a seven-month structured exchange process facilitated by international experts to assist over a dozen countries in designing and implementing national  Research and Innovation strategies and policies.

The Mutual Learning Exercise was divided into two parts:

• An Exchange Meeting during which participants shared an overview of Research and Innovation in their respective countries
• A Capacity Building on STI Policy and Policy Instruments for SDGs, organised by the  UN Inter-agency Task Team (UN-IATT
