Total satisfaction of women farmers in the villages of Gervoum and Yindji in the Centre region after the application of biochar in their maize fields.

🌱 572 kilograms of biochar (212 kg in Yindji and 360 kg in Gervoum) were tested in the fields. At this stage of production, the effects of biochar are noticeable. Indeed, the application of biochar has led to a 38% increase in production. The control plot is at 2.67 tonnes per hectare and the biochar plot is at 3.69 tonnes per hectare. 🌱

The introduction of biochar is being carried out as part of the implementation of the ProDiDEDZR project, a third-party project of PRICNAC, one of the 12 projects of the ACP Innovation Fund.
