Second OACPS R&I Stakeholders’ Exchange Meeting dedicated to African projects, in Yaoundé, Cameroon

From 7-10 November 2023, the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) organise a second Stakeholders’ Exchange Meeting (SEM) of the OACPS Research & Innovation Programme, dedicated to Africa-based projects, in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The purpose of this second SEM is to continue building an R&I community among the recipients of the OACPS R&I Programme initiatives  and to promote multi-stakeholder dialogues and interactions.

Participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas, present results, develop plans or strategies – dissemination, valorisation, commercialisation, sustainability, replicability, etc. – but also to create new ideas and explore ways of collaborating. Representatives of third-party projects, as well as innovators and incubates, will have the opportunity to showcase their work (demonstrations, posters, presentations, videos, etc.).

To help achieve the impact of innovations, projects and the programme, attention will be paid to developing:

  • approaches to disseminate project activities and results,
  • approaches to successfully complete projects, in particular third-party projects,
  • strategies for the valorisation/adoption/marketing of innovations developed by third-party projects,
  • sustainability and continuity initiatives.

Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the Fablab Polytech at the University of Yaoundé, and two other incubators set up by third-party projects in Yaoundé .
