PDTIE – The University of Kisangani launched a call for innovations to valorise plants from the Congo Basin

The Biodiversity Monitoring Centre of the University of Kisangani (CSB/UNIKIS) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has launched a call for projects from January 15, 2023 to February 15, 2023 for the financing of 15 innovative products derived from the active principles or phytochemical groups of plants from the North-Eastern basin of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

These innovations may concern pharmaceutical products, cosmetic products, biological water purification products, biological insecticides, etc.

Micro-projects will be financed up to a minimum of €5,000 and a maximum of €6,000.

The PDTIE (projet de déploiement des technologies et innovations environnementales pour le développement durable et la réduction de la pauvreté), one of the 12 initiatives financed by the ACP Innovation Fund, is coordinated by the Institut de la Francophonie pour le développement durable (IFDD).
