IRAD launches a call for agricultural innovations in Cameroon in the framework of the PDTIE project

This call for innovations, launched by the Institute of Agricultural Research for Development (IRAD) from December 27, 2022 to January 27, 2023, intends to contribute to improving the performance of the agricultural sector, through the dissemination of innovations likely to increase and diversify agricultural production.

Through this call, the APAFReP project, led by IRAD and subsidised by PDTIE, aims to develop new products in the segment of seeds (improved varieties of cereals, tubers/roots and legumes resistant to diseases and climate change), bio-pesticides, bio-fertilisers, agricultural equipment (including an automatic sieve to facilitate the sorting of seeds) and high nutritional food for farmed fish.

Micro-projects will be funded with a minimum of 5,000 euros (3,279,785 CFA francs) and a maximum of 11,000 euros (7,215,530 CFA francs).

The PDTIE (projet de déploiement des technologies et innovations environnementales pour le développement durable et la réduction de la pauvreté), one of 12 initiatives financed by the ACP Innovation Fund, is coordinated by the Institut de la Francophonie pour le développement durable (IFDD).
