The University of Kara, in Togo, inaugurated on May 5, 2023 its new Center for the Valorization of Research and Innovation Results in the field of science and technology in Togo, called CAVRIS.
The CAVRIS support center is made up of several co-working spaces and a meeting room of about 30 seats, it will serve as an incubator for young project leaders in the field of science and technology and as a manufacturing laboratory (FabLab) where innovative technologies will be designed. The FabLab is organized in 3 work spaces. These are the mechanical, electronic and computer, and agrochemical. These three spaces will allow various inventors of the region and Togo in general, to manufacture typical and unique objects based on advanced equipment available in the center.
The inauguration of CAVRIS opens the door for the training of about thirty innovators and inventors registered for a period of 24 months, on the creation and management of companies, the management of intellectual property, as well as on the scientific and technological valorization of research results
CAVRIS is one of the 4 projects financed by VaRRIWA (Valorising Research Results and Innovation in West Africa) in Togo.
