The FabLab Énergies Renouvelables at the 6th GETEC trade fair, Cameroon

The École Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique de Yaoundé (ENSPY) took part in the 6th salon du Génie et Talent de l’Étudiant Camerounais (GETEC), held at the University of Douala from June 18 to 21, 2024, with two projects, presenting the “Computer Numerical Control” (CNC),  produced jointly by the EnR FabLab (PDTIE third-party project) and ENSPY’s Mechanical Engineering workshop.

The “Computer Numerical Control” (CNC) is a computer numerically controlled machine used in Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) to manufacture high-precision parts in a very short time. This machine, which can function as a drill, milling machine, grinder or 3D printer, by changing the tools, could be used to manufacture small parts for equipment prototyping, as well as being used as teaching aids for training learners in Cameroon’s higher and secondary education establishments.
