Promising success for Joseph KI-ZERBO University (UJKZ)!

‘Joseph KI-ZERBO University’ was the last stop on the VaRRIWA project monitoring visit to Burkina Faso.

Progress has been made on the project to strengthen the UJKZ academic incubator – Technology Transfer Office (BTTi-UJKZ), funded by VaRRIWA.
2️⃣5️⃣ innovative project leaders benefit from training, coaching and financial support to transform their ideas into sustainable businesses.

🎯 Concrete results:
✔ Comprehensive training in business creation and management.
✔ 1️⃣2️⃣ major innovations identified and business plans finalised.
✔ Patent protection procedure for 2 innovations and brand protection for 10 others.
✔Formalisation of companies underway.
✔Material support of FCFA 48 million to boost production.

🔘 Focus on two remarkable innovations:
🔹 Mobile solar power platform: Electrification of rural areas and energy transition.
🔹 Exam paper marking automation tool: Time saving for teachers and better pedagogical analysis.

                 

BTTI-UJKZ is one of the support systems set up in Burkina Faso as part of the VaRRIWA project.
