On October 22, 2024, the PDTIE team conducted a monitoring and evaluation mission at the National School of Agro-Industrial Sciences (ENSAI) of the University of Ngaoundéré, which implements the Project in the Production of Technological Innovations in Agro-Industry (PEPITA-UN).
The results are encouraging with an excellent report and several objectives surpassed, such as the patenting of innovations reaching thirty and the development of promising business models. According to the project coordinator, Prof. Laurent BITJOKA, the assessment is more than satisfactory. “The project had committed to producing 25 innovation patents, but in the end, the project produced about thirty,” he rejoiced during the evaluation mission. Furthermore, the project has produced around twenty business models tested and validated in a sales funnel and about ten scientific publications. Furthermore, the project has produced about ten Master’s theses and two Doctoral theses are currently being written.
For the monitoring and evaluation mission, it is a complete success: “Here, we have seen many researchers, particularly women involved in innovative projects that need support to bring these innovations to market,” rejoiced the head of the mission, Joël Hervé NGUEMKAM, who is also the director of Relations with the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) at the Ministry of External Relations.
The innovators are already ready to showcase their achievements to the public during the fair on environmental science, technology, and innovations for development, the first stage of which will take place from November 26 to 28 at the National Museum in Kinshasa, DRC.
After ENSAI, the PDTIE team visited the École nationale supérieure polytechnique de Douala on October 25th.
