Under the patronage of HEM Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBEE, the first edition of SaVaRRI -AO was officially launched on the morning of 18 September 2023 in the presence of leading actors in the research and innovation sector from 7 West African countries.

The theme of this first edition is: Unlocking the potential of research and innovation for inclusive and sustainable development in West Africa.

Three days (18, 19 & 20 September 2023) of professional immersion in the results of scientific and technological research in West Africa.

The ceremony was presided over by His Excellenc Pr. Majesty Ihou Nazoba WATEBA, Togo’s Minister of Higher Education and Research.

SaVaRRi-AO 2023 is financed by the OACPS Research and Innovation Program through the VaRRIWA project of the ACP Innovation Fund and coordinated by AUF, and through one of their third-party projects, the PPP-VRI. It is also supported by numerous partners from the private sector, funding agencies and governments of countries in the region.
