The OECD Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation co-organise the launch of the 2023 edition of the Science, Technology and Innovation Outlook.

The OECD STI Outlook is a biennial publication that aims to inform policy makers and analysts on recent and future changes in global STI patterns and their potential implications on and for national and international STI policies.

The event will present the key recommendations of the 2023 OECD STI Outlook on how to enable transitions in times of disruption and will be followed by a high-level debate.

The climate emergency requires a complete transformation of energy, agrifood, and mobility systems. STI plays a crucial role, but governments must act urgently and ambitiously in their policies.
