Organized by La Tribune Afrique, in partnership with Huawei, the Africa Digital Economy Forum, places the digital economy at the heart of the continent’s problems and solutions – with its development as the primary challenge.
All over the world, the Covid-19 crisis has disrupted economies and slowed growth, while accelerating digital transformation. In Africa, the development of digital ecosystems is the best lever to revitalize the economies of a continent that, thanks to digital technology, has been experiencing major positive changes for several years. For example, 40% of the African population is currently connected to the Internet, compared to only 10% in 2010 – an opportunity for the impetus of an intelligent digital economy!
This first edition of the Africa Digital Economy Forum will bring together a wide range of policymakers, experts, top executives and civil society.
The objective is to stimulate reflection and concrete actions on strategies and investments as well as on the regulation of the digital sector – within public and private organizations.
The event will be articulated around four main themes:
– Digital transformation
– Digital talents training
– Network infrastructures
– Innovation
