Call

FAO Science and Innovation Forum 2023. Participate in the Call for submissions on “Case studies of agrifood system technologies and innovations for climate action”!

You have until 23 June 2023 to submit your impactful, innovative, inclusive and relevant case study(ies), and if selected, you will be invited to present and showcase it (them) at the FAO SIF 2023!

Addressing the interlinked global crises of climate change, food insecurity and biodiversity loss requires engagement in bold action to transform agrifood systems to become more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable, with small-scale producers, family farmers, Indigenous Peoples, women, youth, consumers and other under-represented agrifood systems actors at the center.

In 2023, the global World Food Forum (WFF) theme will be “Agrifood systems transformation accelerates climate action” and consequently the 2nd edition of the FAO Science and Innovation Forum (SIF), scheduled to take place from 16-20 October 2023 under the umbrella of the WFF flagship event, will focus on “Science and Innovation for Climate Action”.

With this Call for proposals, FAO aims to capitalise on win-win solutions, in which trade-offs and opportunities for efficiencies are effectively managed, and to leverage the numerous opportunities for further innovation and collaboration, such as public–private partnerships, knowledge-sharing networks, and capacity-building programmes.
