On March 22, in Nairobi-Kenya, the Regional Centre of Excellence (RCoE) for Biodiversity, Forests and Seascapes Ecosystems Management in East and Southern Africa has been launched.
Funded by the European union and implemented by CIFOR-ICRAF and RCMRD, the center RCoE_ESA will be a central hub for knowledge sharing on ecosystems, will collect and share vital information, analyze data for science-based solutions, and build capacity for better decision-making.
This launch of Regional Centre of Excellence (RCoE) is the second after that of the Regional Multi-Actor Research Network on Agroecology to Support Regional Centres of Excellence related to the Green Transition, RMRN, launched a few days before by FARA and RUFORUM.
