PDTIE – An organic farming project in Cameroon

Focus on two young entrepreneurs, who made the most of the practical training on the theme of “Sustainable Agriculture” received last August within the framework of the PDTIE project.

At the end of this training, which took place in Edéa (Cameroon) from 31 July to 6 August 2022, Cédric Jean LEBOGO and Gaspard Fabrice TSANGA OMBOUDOU joined forces to bring to life their project of an agroecological farm for the production of vegetables and fruit.

Located in Obala in the central region of Cameroon, their cooperative company Bio Alpha Tout (BAT) is not only involved in the organic production and marketing of foodstuffs but also offers agropastoral advisory services and other services related to the setting up of organic farms.

The time has come for harvesting and market gardening products such as carrots, beetroot, green beans, peppers, onions, leeks, amaranth, lettuce and chilli pepper.

This is the result of practical training provided by the PDTIE project, one of the 12 projects supported by the ACP Innovation Fund, and led by IFDD (Institut de la Francophonie pour le développement durable) in RDC and Cameroon.
