Varriwa: Research & Innovation in West Africa – Capitalisation of Results

On Tuesday, October 8, at the Golden Tulip Le Diplomate Hotel in Cotonou, the workshop for the valorisation of the achievements of the VaRRIWA project was inaugurated in the presence of Prof. Philippe Adédjobi LALEYE, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Benin, Prof. Honorat SATOGUINA, Director of ABeVRIT, Mr. Alioune FAYE, Deputy Regional Director of AUF Projects – West Africa, Mr. Simone Ceramicola, representative of the European Union, as well as nearly sixty stakeholders, including policymakers, researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. During this initial phase, the 14 projects funded by VaRRIWA in 4 countries presented their results.

After three days of intense work, the workshop concluded with the presentation of a draft advocacy document aimed at further encouraging the commitment of decision-makers and partners to value the results of research and innovation in order to solve the structural problems of West African countries.
