VaRRIWA- Closing ceremony

The VaRRIWA project, launched in June 2021, is coming to an end after four years of significant impact on the valorization of research results in West Africa.

Its closing ceremony will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, starting at 3 PM at the Noom Hotel in Dakar.

This event will be a unique opportunity to share the results and major achievements of the VaRRIWA project, while highlighting the prospects that open up to strengthen the research and innovation ecosystem in the region. Beyond the presentation of the project’s results, this event aims to be a key moment for stakeholder engagement. It aims to mobilize the stakeholders present around concrete actions to ensure the sustainability of the achievements and to sustainably lay the foundations of a dynamic and inclusive research and innovation ecosystem in West Africa.

The closing ceremony will bring together a variety of participants, including the Minister in charge of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation of Senegal, the Directors of the valorization agencies from Benin, Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Togo, Rectors of beneficiary universities, Directors of research centers, researchers, incubated/innovators, representatives from the private sector, NGOs, and technical and financial partners (TFPs) such as the European Union (EU) and the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS).
