Study on the use of technology in coastal cities will be promoted

The Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and the National Council for Climate Change and Clean Development Mechanism signed a collaboration agreement to promote a study on the use of technologies in the country’s coastal cities for their adaptation to climate change.

The study “Use of digital technologies for climate change adaptation in tourist coastal areas of the Dominican Republic” (AdaptCC-DR), is developed under the responsibility of PUCMM. With this agreement, both institutions will create a technical working group, where they will share information, discuss and analyze data to facilitate the use of the project results in public policy decision-making.

AdaptCC-DR is supported by the project “Harnessing Innovative Technologies to Support Resilient Settlements in Caribbean Coastal Zones” (HIT RESET Caribbean), one of the ACP Innovation Fund projects.
