Following the actions taken by the OIF/IFDD and the tangible results achieved under the Project for the ‘Deployment of Environmental Technologies and Innovations for Sustainable Development and Poverty Reduction’ (PDTIE) in the Congo Basin, the P19 project “Support for Environmental Initiatives in the Congo Basin” was launched. Its objective is to contribute to improving the resilience of populations and ecosystems in the Congo Basin by promoting knowledge, eco-innovations, and best practices for the sustainable management and valorization of natural resources.
From September 18 to 20, 2024, the P19 organized a ‘Francophonie’ regional seminar in Libreville, Gabon, focusing on environmental initiatives in the Congo Basin: issues, challenges, and opportunities. The PDTIE and its results were widely represented through its consortium members, some of its third-party projects, and innovators.
