The European Development Days (EDD) are Europe’s leading forum on development and international cooperation. Organised by the European Commission, the forum brings the development community together each year to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
This year – the 10th Anniversary of the European Development Days, titled ‘Sustainable Development Goals in Action: Our World, Our Dignity, Our Future’ –, the programme will include over 120 sessions on 15 topics with a variety of debates, brainstormings, project or report presentations, and a practice village.
Several heads of state/government and prominent guests have already confirmed their participation, including a high-level panel on sustainable consumption and production and circular economy on 15 June, chaired by the European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Karmenu Vella.
The programme includes a focus on the global Sustainable Development Goals and themed content on the role of science and innovation.
